Project Management
Introduction to Project Management at the University of Salford
As the number of projects being undertaken increases, the University recognises the value of adopting a structured and consistent approach to project management to help ensure that work is completed within defined scope, quality, time and cost constraints.
The University's chosen project management methodology is PRINCE2™ (PRojects IN Controlled Environments). By adopting this approach the University hopes to achieve a more controllable use of resources, increase its ability to manage business and project risk more effectively and establish clear project audit trails.
To support the implementation of PRINCE2™, the University is offering the following training to staff involved in projects:
- PRINCE2™ Foundation
- APM-IC (Association for Project Management Introductory Certificate)
Further information about PRINCE2™, the training on offer and additional support and guidance can be found on this site.
